Dia de los Muertos

Not to be confused with Pixar’s unnamed feature-in-production, a group of students from Ringling College of Art and Design have created this beautiful short titled Dia de Los Muertos, about a little girl who visits the land of the dead and learns the true meaning of the Mexican holiday.

The style of the skeletons reminded me slightly of Grim Fandango which was wonderfully nostalgic, both of the game and also in celebration of such vibrant cultures around the world, and the short highlighted that in an emotional way. Lovely jubbly.
